Landon raised his head and watched as Macie found her release. Had there ever been anything more beautiful? Not that he’d seen.

Now he truly regretted all the time they had lost over the years, though he wasn’t sure what made him think they would have stayed together that long.

Macie’s eyes opened and a dreamy looked filled them. There was a hint of wonder there as well. She smiled at him as she ran a hand along his forearm. Maybe the feeling of pure pleasure he still felt at giving her pleasure would have kept them together.

Easing down, he lay beside Macie and watched her. He wanted to be inside her, desperately. He ached with need, but he’d never experienced a moment like this before and he wanted to savor it. The throbbing in him turned to pain. He needed her.

Macie cupped the back of his neck and brought his mouth to hers. Her kiss was gentle, appreciative, but soon turned suggestive as her tongue caressed his. That strong will he so admired in Macie transferred to the bedroom.

With reluctance, Landon broke away from her. He stood and shucked off his jeans, leaving them in a pool on the floor. Reaching for the drawer in the bedside table, he pulled out a small square package. Opening it, he quickly covered himself.

Macie spread her arms wide, tempting him to rejoin her. He accepted the invitation and slid over her body, enjoying the connection between them. She cupped his jaw and directed his mouth to hers. Her kiss was warm and tender. Moments later her mouth left his to place tiny nips along his collarbone while his length strained between them.

Had he ever wanted a woman more? Only that once in Hawaii. Still, this was different somehow. More mature. More binding. More special.

Moving over her, he positioned himself between her legs until the tip of his manhood rested at her entrance. He broke their kiss. “Are you sure this is what you want?”

“I want you. Now.”

With muscles straining to keep himself in check against his natural desire to go to the hilt, he slowly entered her. Inch by excruciatingly pleasurable inch he drove into her. Macie’s fingers gripped his hips, encouraging him.

A soft sigh brushed his ear as he filled her. She was liquid fire, tight and oh, so sweet.

Landon held himself there a moment, just enjoying the connection. Soon, the need to move overcame him and Macie followed his lead. Need turned to heat, and heat turned to frenzy as he plunged into her.

Macie squirmed and gasped beneath him. Her legs circled his legs and pulled him more securely to her so she could match his rhythm.

He sensed her building release as her arms tightened around his neck and she tensed and arched her body. “Landon,” she breathed.

Making a final deep thrust, he found his own release and joined her in ecstasy. Heaven help him, he wasn’t sure he would ever be the same again.

Sometime later he woke from the daze of satisfaction to find he lay sprawled across the bed.
